The National Opera and Ballet Theatre of Moldova (Romanian: Teatrul Naţional de Operă şi Balet "Maria Bieșu" din Republica Moldova) in Chişinău, Moldova, is one of the leading opera and ballet theatres in Eastern Europe. It is housed in a building on the Boulevard Stefan the Great, one of the main roads in Chişinău, the capital of Moldova. In 2012, it was given the name of the renowned opera singer Maria Bieșu.

On July 5, 2017, the Post of Moldova put into circulation a new special postmark devoted to the 60th anniversary of the National Opera and Ballet Theatre of Chişinău. Inaugurated in 1957 (rebuilt in 1980), this building is one of the most important cultural places in Eastern Europe and was named after the famous Moldovan opera singer Maria Bieşu in 2012. The Post of Moldova already devoted many stamps or philatelic products to Maria Bieşu (1935-2012) in the past, one of the most illustrious Moldovan contemporary artists, especially in 2015 with a cancellation commemorating the 80 years of her birth..
