On July 12, 2017, the Post of Moldova put into circulation a new postmark in its series dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Moldova and some countries of the world. This new postmark is devoted to relations with the Czech and Slovak Federal Republic, the last political regime of Czechoslovakia during the two-year transition period (from April 23, 1990 to December 31, 1992) prior to the Czech Republic and Slovakia's independences.. The Czech and Slovak Federative Republic ceased to exist on December 31 1992. It is not known why Posta Moldovei decided to issue a cancellation, to commemorate diplomatic relations with a country that no longer exists.
