On December 21, 2020, the Post of Moldova put into circulation a postmark dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the birth (to the day) of the Romanian actress (cinema and theater) Stela Popescu. Although having made her career in Romania, Stela Popescu (1935-2017) was born in Slobozia-Hodorogea (a town located today in Moldova). Her father was deported to Siberia in 1940 after the invasion of Bessarabia by the Soviets, Stela then leaving her region, with her mother, to settle in Brasov in neighboring Romania.. Read more..
