Every year, on March 20, the International Francophonie Day is celebrated around the world, in French-speaking countries but also in those where French language is less widespread. This date refers to the birth, on March 20, 1970 in Niamey, of the Agency for Cultural and Technical Cooperation, which was to become the International Organization of La Francophonie. In 2021, the theme of this day was "Francophone Women, Resilient Women", in tribute to all the women of the 88 states and governments of the Francophonie, who are struggling on a daily basis, especially during this health crisis.
