Nicolae Dabija (15 July 1948 – 12 March 2021) was a writer, literary historian, and politician from the Republic of Moldova, honorary member of the Romanian Academy (from 2003,) and corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova (from 2012).

In the 1990s (he was a member of parliament twice between 1990 and 2001), Nicolae Dabija played a key role in national revival efforts in Moldova by supporting the idea of restoring the Latin alphabet and declaring Romanian as the official language of the Moldavian Soviet Socialist Republic. His involvement in this struggle for the imposition of scientific truth on Romanian history and language, to which he devoted inspired verses, essentially determines this multidimensional personality..
