Main town of that same district of Căuşeni (southeast of Moldova), mentioned in my previous post devoted to Alexei Mateevici, Căuşeni is known for its Church of the Assumption of Our Lady (Biserica "Adormirea Maicii Domnului"), the oldest building of this locality. On August 28, 2013, the Post of Moldova has also issued a prepaid postcard (L 1.30, print run : 1,500) designed by Alexandr Kornienko, dedicated to the 250th anniversary of the construction of this church.
