First Day Covers (FDCs) for this Issue

This FDC used a prepaid envelope, originally issued by the USSR. On the FDC that was officially released by Posta Moldovei, the Moldovan stamp was attached directly on top of the original USSR stamp. Because the original envelope was already in circulation, local stamp dealers had the opportunity to attach the Moldovan stamp so that the original USSR stamp was visible, and then have it postmarked with the First Day stamp.
