Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Moldova and the Republic of Bulgaria were officially established on 5 February 1992. Bulgaria was one of the first countries to open a diplomatic mission in Chișinău on 19 December 1992, the embassy of Moldova opening in Sofia on 10 February 1994. 25 years to the day after the beginning of these diplomatic relations, the Post of Moldova issued a new special postmark (the 6th of the same type this year) devoted to this anniversary. Designed again by Lilian Iaţco, this postmark features the Cathedral of the Nativity of Chişinău and the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral of Sofia. Read more..
