On March 16, 2017, the Post of Moldova put into circulation the 11th special postmark this year devoted to the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations with the Republic of Moldova, this time with Japan. Japan opened an embassy in Chişinău on August 25, 2016, the official opening ceremony of the embassy of Moldova in Tokyo took place on September 29, 2016. On March 16, 2017, a ceremony was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova, in the presence of Japanese Ambassador, Masanobu Yoshii, the Moldovan Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs and a representative of the Post of Moldova..
