The Post of Moldova had already put into circulation in 2007 (on March 7) a prepaid envelope (L 0.85) devoted to the 90th anniversary of the birth of actor and opera singer Eugeniu Ureche (1917-2005). On August 27, 2012, a stamp (L 0.85) was devoted to him, being part of a series of 4 stamps paying homage to various illustrious personalities (including the French philosopher and writer Jean-Jacques Rousseau). That stamp was added to this prepaid envelope issued in 2007 below, canceled with the special postmark put into circulation by the Post of Moldova on March 20, 2017 in Chişinău (MD-2012) on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the birth of Eugeniu Ureche.
