The Republic of Moldova and the State of Israel formally established diplomatic relations on June 22, 1992, the Hebrew state having previously recognized the independence of Moldova on December 25, 1991. The two countries have enjoyed good relations since then, especially in the political (anti-terrorism) and economic (agriculture, infrastructure...) fields. Moldova opened an embassy in Tel Aviv since 1994, the Israeli ambassador to Ukraine (non-resident today) being accredited in Moldova since 1994 as well. 25 years later (to the day), the Post of Moldova has put into circulation a new special postmark devoted to relations between the two countries. .
