On May 3, 2017, the Post of Moldova put into circulation a new postmark (the 15th of the same type this year) devoted to the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Moldova and other countries, Poland this time. The Republic of Poland recognized the independence of the Republic of Moldova on December 27, 1991 before formalizing diplomatic relations on May 3, 1992. Both countries have respective embassies in Warsaw and Chişinău and have good economic or political relations, Poland in particular supporting Moldova in its process of European integration.
