For many years now, the Post of Moldova has been regularly putting into circulation special postmarks devoted to space, especially about the first manned flights, the International Day of Manned Space Flight or the World Space Week. On October 4, 2017, a new cancellation was put into circulation, dedicated this time to the 60th anniversary of space exploration ("60 de ani de explorare a spaţiului cosmic"). This postmark coincides with the launch by the Soviets, 60 years ago, of the first artificial Earth satellite, Sputnik I, marking the year 1 of the Space Age.. Read more..
