To commemorate the 130th anniversary of the birth of Leon T. Boga (born in 1886 in Veles, Macedonia), the Post of Moldova has released on January 15, 2016, a prepaid envelope dedicated to this important figure of Bessarabia in early 20th century. Leon Boga (1886-1974) played a major cultural and educational role in this region, being director of the State Archives, director of the "Alexandru Donici" high school in Chişinău or owner of the newspaper "Cuvânt Moldovenesc" ("The Moldovan word") from 1943 (this newspaper was previously published from 1914 to 1919 with articles written in characters of the Romanian Cyrillic alphabet).
