On 28 June (or 11 June ?) 1992, the Republic of Moldova and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam formally established diplomatic relations. Moldova does not have an embassy in Hanoi (its interests in the country are probably assured by the embassy in Beijing), the ambassador of Vietnam in Kiev being accredited in Moldova. Both countries have good political relations, but their trade links are limited. 25 years later (to the day), the Post of Moldova put into circulation a new special postmark devoted to relations between the two countries.
