Butterflies and Moths (III)

Blog article
After some nice stamp series devoted to butterflies issued in 2013 in the United States, Niue or Great Britain, it was the turn of the Moldovan Post to issue four stamps depicting different species of exotic butterflies. These four stamps, designed by Alexandr Kornienko, appear on the two official First Day Covers below (print run : 400 each) with postmarks of July 5, 2013 from the capital, Chișinău. To enhance the colors of these four butterflies, being part of the collections of the National Museum of Ethnography and Natural History, these stamps were printed with a special varnish. Read more..
