The World Health Organization (WHO) is a specialised agency of the United Nations that is concerned with international public health. It was established on 7 April 1948, headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland. The WHO is a member of the United Nations Development Group. After the UN on March 2, 2017, the Post of Moldova put into circulation on May 4, 2017 a new prepaid envelope dedicated this time to the 25th anniversary of the country's admission to the World Health Organization (WHO). WHO, established in 1948, is a specialized agency of the United Nations having for goal to build a better, healthier future for people all over the world. Working through offices in more than 150 countries (including one in Moldova), WHO staff (more than 7,000 persons) work side by side with governments and other partners to ensure the highest attainable level of health for all people.
