The Post of Moldova has already celebrated several times in the past this International Children's Day, especially through series of stamps reproducing children's drawings (in 2001, 2009 or 2015). In 1989, the United Nations established an International Day of the Rights of the Child, which is celebrated every year on November 20, but in most of Eastern Europe countries (including the former USSR republics), an International Children's Day is established each June 1st (that day coinciding with the start of the school holidays). On 1 June 2017, the Post of Moldova this time put into circulation an interesting prepaid envelope dedicated to this International Children's Day ("Ziua Internaţională a Copilului" in Romanian).
