In 2005 and 2006, many European postal administrations (Albania, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Gibraltar, Greenland, Estonia, Latvia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Slovenia, Serbia, Montenegro, Croatia, Romania, Turkey, Cyprus, Georgia, Greece, Iceland, Malta, Isle of Man, Ukraine or Austria) but also non European postal administrations (Sri Lanka, Laos, Uruguay, Fiji, Samoa, Bahamas, Cuba, Jamaica, Kyrgyzstan, Peru, Solomon Islands, Belize, Bhutan, Saint Helena, Mongolia, Nicaragua or Suriname) issued stamps celebrating the 50th anniversary of the issue of the first EUROPA stamps in 1956. This says a lot about the popularity of this EUROPA theme among collectors all over the world!.
