The Europa postage stamp (also known as Europa - CEPT until 1992) is an annual joint issue of stamps with a common design or theme by postal administrations of member countries of the European Communities (1956-1959), the European Conference of Postal and Telecommunications Administrations (CEPT) from 1960 to 1992, and the PostEurop Association since 1993. As in 2018 (bridges), the Post of Moldova has put into circulation this year (on April 19, 2019) a EUROPA set composed of two very large size (68 x 34 mm) stamps, with preview sale in two different localities of the country, Soroca (MD-3006) for the "White stork" stamp and Orhei (MD-3505) for the "Golden eagle" stamps.
I was very lucky to receive the two First Day covers (print run: 500 each, design: Lilian Iaţco) concerning each one of these two EUROPA stamps whose theme this year is dedicated to the "National birds" ("Păsări naţionale" in Romanian). These two beautiful stamps (design: Vladimir Melnic) have been printed each in sheet of 8 stamps as well as in a booklet (print run: 6,500) composed of 2 sheetlets (3 stamps + 1 label each). .
