The Europa postage stamp (also known as Europa - CEPT until 1992) is an annual joint issue of stamps with a common design or theme by postal administrations of member countries of the European Communities (1956–1959), the European Conference of Postal and Telecommunications Administrations (CEPT) from 1960 to 1992, and the PostEurop Association since 1993. On May 28, 2021, the Post of Moldova put into circulation its EUROPA series (2 stamps), dedicated this year to endangered national wildlife ("fauna sălbatică națională pe cale de dispariție" in Romanian), and in particular to two critically endangered bird species, included in the Red Book of the Republic of Moldova.
These two stamps were each printed in a sheetlet of 8 stamps as well as in a booklet including a souvenir sheet of four stamps (two of each, print run: 3,000 booklets).. Read more..
