From The Red Book of the Republic of Moldova: Fauna

Since 1997, the Post of Moldova has regularly put into circulation (around ten issues) stamps depicting endangered plant and animal species and inscribed in the Red Book of the Republic of Moldova ("Cartea Roşie a Republicii Moldova"). This Red Book lists in particular 116 particularly threatened or endangered animal species (pollution, habitat destruction): 14 species of mammals, 39 species of birds, 8 species of reptiles, 1 species of amphibian, 13 fish species, 37 species of insects, 1 species of crustaceans and 3 species of molluscs..
