Famous and Eminent Persons
As usual, the Post of Moldova has once again issued this year (on July 17, 2015) a series (4 stamps + 1 souvenir sheet) devoted to famous personalities, from Moldova, Romania and Russia this time. Two official FDC (print run : 500), with postmark from Chișinău (MD-2012), regarding this series, designed by Oleg Cojocaru. The first stamp (L 1.20, print run : 100,000) celebrates Constanța Tîrțău (1930-2014), a Moldova theater and cinema actress, announcer of the first television broadcast of Radio Moldova 1 in 1958. Constanţa Tîrţău, whose end of life was very difficult (almost ruined and blind, refusing to see people...) remained very popular in the hearts of Moldovan people.
