Folk Dances (III) - Joint Issue with Azerbaijan

The official launch of this joint issue between Moldova and Azerbaijan (a first between the two countries) took place on October 16, 2015 at the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Moldova, attended by the Minister of Culture of Moldova (Monica Babuc) and leaders of the two agencies in charge of stamp issues in each country ("Poşta Moldovei" and "Azermarka"). Designed by Hasai Merzoev and Oleg Cojocari, this series of two joint stamps (print run : 100 000 each in Moldova) is devoted to popular folk dances of the two countries : Halay ("Yallı" in Azerbaijani) and Moldoveneasca. Official FDC (print run : 400), with postmark from Chișinău (MD-2012), as well as a maxicard regarding the Moldovan version of this joint set. Read more..
