For the seventh time since 1992, the Post of Moldova has devoted a new series of stamps to different species of birds living in the country ("Păsări din arealul Moldovei"), available in a set of four stamps and one souvenir sheet. Two official FDCs below (print run : 300 each) with cancellations from Chişinău (traces of bird legs in the ground), regarding this new series, designed by Vladimir Melnic, issued on September 25, 2015 ! About 300 different bird species have been recorded in Moldova, none of which being endemic and about twenty being considered threatened (listed in the Red Book of Moldova). Read more..
