On October 21, 2015, the Post of Moldova released a special stamp dedicated to the actor Mihai Volontir (1934-2015), who died on September 15, 2015 at the age of 81. Mihai Volontir was a theater and cinema actor (more than 120 roles), very famous in the former USSR, Romania and Moldova where he was designated in 2000 best movie actor of the 20th century. The day of his funeral (September 17, 2015) in Chișinău was declared a day of national mourning following a decree of the President of the Republic of Moldova.
