On June 23, 1991, the postal administration of Moldova issued its first set of stamps, only one year after the country's proclamation of sovereignty. To commemorate the 20th anniversary of this first series of three stamps, the Post of Moldova has released, on June 23, 2011 (logical !), an interesting souvenir sheet of three stamps each reproducing one of the first three stamps issued in 1991. It's this sheet that appears on the beautiful official FDC below (printing run : 500 only) designed by Vitalie Roşca, who is also the designer of the sheet. Read more..
