On September 29, 2020, the Post of Moldova put into circulation a nice series (4 stamps) dedicated to various parks and public gardens ("Parcuri și grădini publice") located in Chișinău, the capital. Chișinău is sometimes nicknamed the "white city bathed in green sea", a metaphor evoking white stone buildings drowned in greenery. The city is indeed made up of wide boulevards lined with trees, squares abundant in flowers and a large number of parks which cover more than half of its surface!. Read more..
