On December 5, 2017, the death of King Michael I of Romania (96 years) in his residence in Switzerland, was officially announced. King Michael I's life was tumultuous, marked by two reigns, 1927-1930 and 1940-1947, the first of them under a regency (Michael was only 5 years old) and the second one under the sign of World War II.
